The functional

The "CURA" outdoor knife is made of high-quality yew and is particularly compact and robust. The Böhler N690 steel of the blade is corrosion-resistant and rust-proof and is therefore not affected by difficult weather conditions.

The Cura features a Scandi grind. The flat cutting edge makes the blade more resistant to damage and breakage. At the same time, the flat angle of the Scandi grind enables outstanding sharpness and improved cutting performance. This is particularly useful for tasks such as wood carving, splitting firewood and other outdoor activities.

The yew wood offers excellent grip and is very easy to handle, even in wet or slippery conditions.

Each Cura knife comes with a hand-stitched blade guard made of chrome-free tanned leather.

Precise work with the Scandi cut

The Scandi grind is known for its flat cutting edge and offers you outstanding sharpness and cutting performance, ideal for your next outdoor adventure. This special grind enables precise and powerful cuts, which is particularly useful for tasks such as wood carving, splitting firewood and other demanding work. The flat angle of the Scandi grind makes the blade more resistant to damage and breakage, which speaks for the longevity of the outdoor knife. Whether camping, hiking or survival training - the Scandi grind makes the Cura outdoor knife a reliable companion.

Böhler N690: unsurpassed quality

Böhler N690 steel is a stainless chrome steel enriched with cobalt, molybdenum and vanadium and is manufactured by the Austrian company Voestalpine Böhler Edelstahl GmbH & Co KG. This steel belongs to the upper class and is used whenever cutting tools are required that have a long cutting edge and are particularly corrosion-resistant. With a hardness of 60 HRC, Böhler N690 steel is extremely stable and wear-resistant, ideal for your next outdoor activities. Thanks to the high chromium content, the steel remains undamaged even in high humidity, making it perfect for use in our outdoor knives.

The naming of the outdoor knife

We deliberately named the outdoor knife "Cura" to emphasize the close connection between the user and the tool. "Cura" comes from Latin and means "care" or "care". This name stands for the dedication that goes into making this knife, as well as the careful work that you as the user can do with it. The Cura knife supports you in your adventures. Whether you want to carve wood, split wood, prepare meals or do other survival tasks.

The manufacturing process of the outdoor knife

Our Cura outdoor knife is 100% handmade. The steel is first cut to size and then forged and hardened in several steps to ensure it retains its edge and is stable. The handle made of high-quality European yew is carefully crafted by hand and precisely fitted to the blade to provide a secure and comfortable grip. Finally, each Cura knife is stored in a hand-sewn leather sheath made of chrome-free tanned leather. This high-quality sheath is not only carefully sewn, but also decorated by hand to give the knife an attractive and elegant finish.
